Information Technology Agency (ITA) Volunteer Internship Program provides project-based learning opportunities for college-level students looking to gain experience in technology and public service. Interns may receive monetary compensation depending on the program that they join. Depending on their college programs, students may also receive different types of school credit for participating as interns. This program runs year-round and interns are accepted based availability of projects.
Internships are available to college-level students 18 years of age or older, including undergraduate students, graduate students, or recent graduates of a two- or four-year college, university, or vocational school. Ideal candidates must be able to communicate well, display a record of academic achievement, demonstrate a commitment to Information Technology or public service, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates shall also maintain a high standard of ethics and integrity in a work environment.
ITA internship opportunities are available in the following areas:
- Infrastructure & Network Services (Data Center, Voice, Data, and Radio networks)
- Applications Development & Programming
- Customer Engagement: 3-1-1 Call Center, IT Help Desk, Business/Data Analysis, and Media Production
- Finance, Office Administration, and Contracts Management
