This month we shine our spotlight on the ITA Executive Support Team. The team is headed by Marina Sanchez and supported by Sherry Pennyjelly and Lorna Tolentino. The Executive Support Team is the front line and first interface that visitors and callers have with ITA.
Their professional demeanor and in-depth knowledge of ITA's services and city processes create a positive impression of the department for both internal City guests and the general public and routes requests to the appropriate section.
The Executive Support Team reviews, finalizes, and tracks all external correspondence. They manage the executive management team’s calendars, which constantly requires juggling schedules and moving meetings multiple times for multiple participants to accommodate busy participant schedules (hundreds of meetings per month). They work with discretion, exercise judgment and provide strong customer service.
The team is adept at various software tools that enable them to efficiently track records, prepare reports, correspondence and related materials needed by ITA’s management team. They are called on to perfect documents to meet critical deadlines.
The Executive Support team has been a critical part of the City of Los Angeles and the Information Technology Agency and directly contributes to the success of our department. Keep it up, team!
