ITA Gets Computers and Internet to Angelenos Transitioning Out of Homelessness

May 19, 2017

The Internet is a critical tool to get a job, find an apartment, or start a business.  City Council President Herb Wesson partnered with ITA and the Koreatown Youth and Community Center to bring free refurbished computers and 3-year hotspots along to people transitioning out of homelessness.  Council Members Wesson and Cedillo and ITA GM Ted Ross participated at the Menlo Family Housing Project, and ITA’s OurcycleLA donated 20 refurbished laptops to the Koreatown Senior Community Service Center to provide digital literacy training to the Korean-speaking seniors.  Council President Wesson took part in this donation ceremony as a part of the Mother’s Day family celebration with over 200 seniors.
