On August 26th, ITA joined the Mayor and City leaders in commemorating and supporting Gender Equity Week. The Mayor signed Executive Directive No. 11 - Gender Equity in City Operations, expressing the City's commitment to provide equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities to all people no matter their sex or gender, as a fundamental human right. While women comprise 43% of the ITA workforce, the department acknowledges that there is an overall lack of diversity in the industry. Working with the City's Personnel Department, ITA is working to build a workforce as diverse as Los Angeles.
