Los Angeles City Council Adopts Option One Recommendations on the City's Future PEG Access System on December 3, 2008
The Los Angeles City Council considered the Board of Information Technology Commissioners' and Municipal Access Policy Board's Report on the Future of PEG Access in the City of L.A., and adopted Option One of the recommendations and options for Public, Educational and Governmental Access commencing January 1, 2009.
Public Access Update 1/12/09
Until further notice, effective January 1, 2009, Channel 36, LACTAC, will be the sole provider of Public Access programming carriage in the City of Los Angeles. The City will be unable to provide Public Access studios due to changes in state law. To learn more about this development, please read the BITC-MAPB report dated June 16, 2008, at the below listed link.
Anyone interested in providing Public Access programming content to Channel 36, LACTAC, must view their website first for their rules and procedures. Please note that Channel 36, LACTAC, will not amend their Rules and Procedures for Producers until after January 1, 2009. Further information will be available online at LA36.
